Mission

Nathan’s Project is devoted to increasing youth access to the arts and to providing kids and teens with the opportunity to experience the joy that comes from music and performing.

Background

Nathan’s Project is in loving memory of Nathan Jacob Gordon, who passed away on December 8, 2020, just days shy of his 11th birthday, after a 9.5 year battle with spinal cancer.

Nathan was a truly extraordinary and singular individual, whose huge heart, generous soul and indomitable spirit lit up the lives of all who knew him. Among his many passions, Nathan loved music and spent countless hours singing, performing and writing songs, often with his cousin and “soul twin,” Sophie, by his side.

Nathan’s Project is Sophie’s heartfelt effort to ensure that her best friend’s remarkable legacy lives on, and that the joy that Nathan and Sophie shared together through music can be experienced by as many kids as possible.

Nathan derived so much happiness from making others happy. The potential impact and long-term benefit of Nathan’s Project is truly the essence of Nathan’s light.

We are just getting started, trying to brighten lives the way that Nathan brightened ours. We hope that you will join us!
